I think? May have posted in the soccer forum years ago.
San Jose ML +126 Local news has a good update on the many injury woes of the Timbers. Their keeper was injured last week, and I believe they are now on their 4th keeper of the season(including injured Steve Clark, one of the best keepers in the MLS). The Timbers have 9 injured players, many of them key players. Midfielder Diego Chara, most key. Since 2015, the Timbers are something like 1-25 in games he missed. His backup, also out. With such a turnover, and soccer being a game where it takes time to "play together" well, a loss looks likely. Four games in two weeks, and the Timbers looked pretty bad in all of their recent 3 losses.
San Jose at home, and probably wanting revenge for some of the ass whoopings they have taken from Portland in recent years. The Earthquakes lost to Seattle this week, a Sounder team that might be one of the best in the MLS. Yet San Jose only allowed one shot on goal (it went in), while having 6 shots on goal themselves. San Jose is having a good season though, and coming off a tough loss, they'll be motivated.
